Experience the Retreat

This is a ten day and nine night residential yoga retreat held annually across two Himalayan locations, with a third international destination announced each January. Manali hosts the retreat from March to June and in Sep, October.

Daily practice runs between six and ten hours of yoga asana, meditation and mindfulness sessions led by the founder. The schedule balances movement and stillness rather than filling the day, with free time built in through the late morning and afternoon.

Workshops cover yogic philosophy, movement, Tai Chi and anatomy, alongside sessions on self-awareness, mindfulness and conscious living. Energy coaching practices include detox, chakra balancing and relaxation techniques, and guided meditation and traditional yogic Shat Kriyas are part of the routine.

A guided nature hike connects guests with the surroundings, and there is access to natural pools and hot springs for cold and hot therapy. Art therapy and cultural immersion through local crafts, music and traditions sit alongside the practice.

The teaching is structured around a clear idea, which is that the true teacher already resides within you. Guests work through body mechanics and alignment, mental patterns and focus, breath and pranayama, awareness of prana and chakras, and the roots of suffering as classical yoga frames them.

Meals are sattvic, organic and farm-to-table, including Himachali, Ladakhi and regional cuisines, with a farewell lunch of traditional dishes from the region closing the retreat. Accommodation is at curated creative residencies in Manali and Leh, and all local transport for treks, workshops and cultural experiences is included.

Why This Retreat Stands Out

The stated goal is to make you independent in your practice. Over ten days the teaching is aimed at sending you home able to continue your own sadhana without relying on anyone, rather than at keeping you coming back.

The approach is rooted in classical yoga rather than fitness trends, and there is no performance expected. Whether you are eight or eighty, beginner or advanced, the space is built to hold every body type, background and experience level.

Nature is treated as the ashram. Practice happens in genuinely remote Himalayan settings, groups are kept small and intentional, and the retreat extends past the mat into mindful eating, conscious breathing, daily reflection and nature walks.

Sustainability runs through it, with plastics avoided, waste minimized and food kept sattvic, local and simply prepared. Guests can join as residential guests or as walk-in participants, which is unusual for a retreat of this length.

MANALI

HIMACHAL PRADESH

INDIA

Manali sits cradled in the lap of the Himalayas and has long been a retreat for sages and seekers. Legend has it that Sage Vashistha meditated here by the hot springs, and the ancient forests around the valley still carry the silence of deep practice.
Snowy peaks, pine-scented air and the flow of the Beas River give the setting its character. Guests practice outdoors where the weather allows, and there is real space here for reflection between sessions.

Retreats in Manali run from March to June and again in October, which are the months when the valley is at its most workable for outdoor practice and hiking. Local crafts, music and traditions form part of the cultural immersion built into the program.
