Cancellation Policies
Standardized Policy for all Retreats
Our Approach to Cancellations
We want your retreat booking experience to be stress-free — and that starts with being crystal clear about cancellations. Instead of every retreat having its own complicated rules, we've standardised everything into just 4 clean, easy-to-understand policies. Three are standard options that we encourage all retreat hosts to use, and one is a custom option for those rare cases where something more specific is needed.
The 4 Cancellation Policies
Every retreat listed on Heal at India follows one of these four policies. You'll always know which one applies before you book.
1. Free Cancellation
The most flexible option — ideal if you want full peace of mind.
Deposit
Cancellation Timing: 1 or more days before retreat
Refund on Deposit: 100% refunded ✓
Remaining Balance
- The remaining balance is only due when you arrive at the retreat.
- If you paid the full amount at the time of booking, you can get a complete refund on the remaining balance — as long as you cancel at least 1 day before the retreat starts.
# For exact deposit and balance amounts, refer to your booking confirmation email sent from info@healatindia.com.
2. Flexible Cancellation
A balanced option — the earlier you cancel, the more you get back.
Deposit
| Cancellation Timing | Refund on Deposit |
| 30+ days before retreat | 100% refunded ✓ |
| 15–29 days before retreat | 50% refunded |
| 0–14 days before retreat | No refund |
Remaining Balance
- The remaining balance is only due when you arrive at the retreat.
- If you paid the full amount at booking, you're eligible for a full refund on the remaining balance right up until the day before your retreat.
# For exact deposit and balance amounts, refer to your booking confirmation email sent from info@healatindia.com.
3. Moderate Cancellation
A stricter policy with clearly defined windows for both the deposit and remaining balance.
Deposit
| Cancellation Timing | Refund on Deposit |
| 60+ days before retreat | 100% refunded ✓ |
| 30–59 days before retreat | 50% refunded |
| 0–29 days before retreat | No refund |
Remaining Balance
| Cancellation Timing | Refund on Remaining Balance |
| 30+ days before retreat | 100% refunded ✓ |
| 0–29 days before retreat | No refund |
The remaining balance is due 30 days before the retreat start date.
- If you paid the remaining balance at the time of booking, you can get a full refund — as long as you cancel 30 or more days before your retreat.
- Cancellations within 29 days of the retreat are not eligible for a remaining balance refund.
# For exact deposit and balance amounts, refer to your booking confirmation email sent from info@healatindia.com.
4. Custom Cancellation
In some cases, a retreat host may have unique requirements that don't fit the three standard policies. In these situations, the host will define their own cancellation terms.
- Always read the custom policy carefully before completing your booking.
- Custom terms will be clearly displayed on the retreat listing and in your booking summary.
Your Responsibility as a Booker
Before confirming any booking, please take a moment to:
- Read the cancellation policy for that specific retreat.
- Understand the refund terms and timing windows.
- Check which policy has been selected by the retreat host.
We know that life is unpredictable. If something unexpected comes up and you can't make it, the best first step is to cancel your booking through the platform. You're also welcome to reach out to the retreat host directly as a courtesy — we'll notify them regardless, but a personal message goes a long way.
How to Cancel Your Booking

Cancellation Disputes
If you believe there's been an error or misunderstanding regarding your cancellation, please report it to us within 24 hours.
- We ask both parties — the guest and the retreat host — to first try to resolve the matter directly, with understanding and goodwill.
- If needed, the Heal at India team may step in to help mediate the situation.
- In all unresolved disputes, Heal at India holds the final decision.
We truly believe that most situations can be resolved when both sides approach them with compassion, flexibility, and a willingness to find common ground.
Our Intention
