Frequently Asked Questions

Do solo travellers pay a single supplement on a retreat?
Solo traveller retreats often waive the single supplement or cap it near 25 percent, whereas standard wellness properties add 40 to 80 percent to the per-person rate for single occupancy. A twin-share room, where offered, usually costs 30 to 40 percent less than a single.
?
Will I have to share a room on a solo retreat?
Sharing is optional at almost every solo traveller retreat: private single rooms are standard and twin-share is offered only as a cheaper choice, usually matched by gender and age bracket. Ashram-run centres are the exception and may offer dormitories only.

Is it easy to meet people on a solo retreat in India?
Meeting people on a solo retreat is straightforward wherever meals are served at communal tables and classes are group-led, which is how most Indian centres run stays of a week or more. Silent retreats are the opposite by design. Ask about seating and class size.
