Experience the Retreat

This is a 4-day, 3-night retreat in Rishikesh, one step up from the short renewal stay. The extra day makes room for sound healing and creative sessions, both of which benefit from time rather than intensity.

Day one follows the same grounding pattern as the shorter retreat. Check-in, orientation and a vegetarian lunch are followed by gentle stretching and relaxation yoga in the afternoon, then the Ganga riverside aarti and dinner.

Day two is the rejuvenation day. The awaken bell, breathwork and meditation come before breakfast, followed by a wellness and meditation workshop.

The afternoon of day two is reserved for leisure. A walk to the waterfall follows, with self-guided and guided meditation in nature, before dinner.

Day three features a pranayama and meditation workshop, leisure time and Nada Yoga with sound healing. The centre also offers rock painting as a creative therapy throughout the retreat.

The final morning includes breathwork and gratitude meditation, breakfast and checkout. The centre describes this retreat as a balance of yoga, spirituality, creativity and rest.

Why This Retreat Stands Out

Rock painting is the part guests do not expect. It gives you a way to slow down and work something through with your hands rather than sitting with it, which suits people who find seated practice hard.
Nada yoga and sound healing are the other distinctive piece. These sessions work through vibration and listening rather than movement, and they are what make the four days feel different from a standard yoga break.

Food Details

Three sattvic meals a day are cooked by an in-house chef using organic Himalayan produce, with seasonal ingredients doing most of the work. Herbal infusions and Himalayan honey run alongside as part of the wellness practice rather than as extras.
Everything served is vegetarian, planned to nourish without weighing anyone down before or after practice. Dietary requirements should be raised at the time of booking so the kitchen can plan for them properly.

Free time fills easily here.

Travel Information

flight

Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun is the nearest, roughly an hour away by road, with regular domestic flights from Delhi and several other Indian cities. It is the simplest way in for anyone travelling from within India.
International travellers usually fly into Delhi and continue either by a short domestic flight to Dehradun or by road, which takes around six hours. The centre can arrange transport, so share arrival details when booking.

train

Haridwar Junction is the main railhead, about an hour away and well connected with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and the rest of northern India. Rishikesh has its own smaller station with more limited services, mainly from Delhi.
From Haridwar a taxi or auto covers the last stretch to Tapovan in around forty five minutes on a straightforward road. Booking train tickets ahead matters in the peak season, since the popular routes fill quickly.

bus

Regular buses run from Delhi to Rishikesh, operated by both government and private services, with the journey taking six to seven hours from Kashmere Gate. Overnight coaches suit anyone who would rather arrive in the morning.
From the Rishikesh bus stand, a local taxi or auto reaches Tapovan in a few minutes. It is the most economical way to arrive from Delhi or from elsewhere in Uttarakhand.

taxi

A pre-booked taxi is the simplest option and the only sensible one late at night. From Jolly Grant Airport the drive takes about an hour, from Haridwar around forty five minutes, and from Delhi six to seven hours.
App based cabs work within Dehradun and Haridwar but thin out towards Tapovan, so book through a local operator or ask the centre to arrange it. Give the driver the address at Tapovan, Rishikesh, near Lakshman Jhula.

car

From Delhi the drive covers roughly 240 km and takes five to six hours along NH334, passing through Haridwar before Rishikesh. The road is in good condition and well signposted throughout.
Tapovan sits across the river from the main town, with the final approach on narrower lanes near Lakshman Jhula. Parking should be confirmed with the centre when booking, since space on that side of the river is limited.

FAQ's

Nada yoga works with sound rather than posture, using vibration, listening and stillness as the practice. Sound healing sessions use instruments to settle the nervous system and bring on a meditative state.
Nothing is required of you beyond lying or sitting and listening, which is why guests who struggle with seated meditation often find these sessions easier.

No, and that is rather the point. The rock painting is a mindfulness activity, not an art class, and it is there to give the hands something to do while the mind settles.
The centre describes it as a simple and expressive way to slow down and process how you are feeling.

Meals are included throughout the itinerary, with healthy vegetarian food served during the retreat. A full list of inclusions and exclusions is not published, so confirm transfers and any additional expenses with the centre before booking.

Yes. The yoga is gentle stretch and relaxation work with breathwork and meditation alongside, and none of it assumes previous training.
The pace is deliberately unhurried, with leisure time built into each afternoon rather than a full timetable from morning to night.

The extra day adds the sound healing and Nada yoga session and the pranayama and meditation workshop, and gives the creative therapy room to happen.
The three day version is a reset. This one is closer to a proper pause, with more variety in the practices and more unstructured afternoon time.

Three sattvic vegetarian meals a day, cooked in house from organic Himalayan produce, along with herbal infusions and Himalayan honey. Dietary needs should be raised at the time of booking.

Yes. Every full day keeps the afternoon from around 3:00 PM open before the evening session, which leaves room to rest, read or explore Tapovan on foot.

The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, the Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula bridges, Patho Sunset Point for wide valley views, the Kunjapuri sunrise trek to a hilltop temple, and the Bhootnath Shiva shrine. The centre arranges transport and guides.

Yes. Programmes run at three, four, five, six, seven and ten days, so the same setting can be taken at different lengths. Corporate retreats and leadership offsites are arranged separately.

No. The focus is on personal practice and renewal rather than professional certification, so no teacher training courses are offered.
