Experience the Retreat
Rishikesh has long been a place people come to slow down and pay attention to their health. This retreat uses that setting and turns the focus entirely onto women.

It runs for five nights and is structured around the specific ailments and stress patterns that show up in women lives, from hormonal imbalance to the mental exhaustion of managing home and work at the same time. The retreat opens with an Ayurveda consultation, so your therapy plan reflects your actual constitution and your current concerns rather than one fixed schedule for everybody.

Days hold Ayurveda based stress management sessions, yoga practice, and a mental cleansing session designed to quiet an overactive mind. A fire ceremony with mantra chanting adds a grounding ritual to the week, while reiki, kundalini practice and sound healing round out the therapeutic side of the schedule.

A technology detox is built in as well, giving you a structured break from phones and screens, which is something most women rarely get even on holiday. An excursion away from the property offers a change of pace between the more intensive sessions.

Accommodation comes in single or double occupancy, depending on your preference and your budget. By the end of five nights, most women leave with a clearer sense of their own stress triggers, practical tools they can keep using at home, and a body that finally got the rest it had been asking for.

Why This Retreat Stands Out
What sets this retreat apart is that it is built around the health patterns and life pressures women actually face, rather than sold as a generic wellness package. Alongside the classic Ayurveda treatments you get a fire ceremony with mantra chanting, reiki, kundalini practice and sound healing, a combination you rarely find together.

There is a dedicated technology detox, which helps you step back from constant screen time, and a guided excursion for a change of scenery partway through. Every element is there to address the stress, the hormonal balance and the mental fatigue that many women carry quietly through their daily routines.

The retreat begins on your arrival day with a welcome and an initial Ayurveda consultation, which sets the direction for your therapies and counts as the first activity of the retreat.

From there, each day follows a structured mix of therapies, yoga and the special sessions, including different therapy sessions and the technology detox.

You can ask for lighter pacing if you need it, though there is no full rest day built in, given how short the retreat is.

The final day is kept light. It closes with your last therapy session and final consultation before checkout, so you can plan your travel without a rush.

The centre sits in upper Tapovan, above the main town of Rishikesh, looking out across forested slopes and the river valley below.
It is quieter up here than it is down by the ghats, and the whole place is built around Ayurveda. Consultations shape each guest treatment plan, and satvik meals are cooked to suit the constitution that consultation identifies.
Rooms are simple and comfortable, with large windows and hill views. Therapies, yoga and rest run to a daily structure rather than being left to chance. The bridges, ashrams and ghats of Rishikesh are a short walk or drive away whenever you want them.

Location Information

RISHIKESH

UTTARAKHAND

INDIA

Rishikesh sits where the Ganges pours out of the Himalayan foothills, and the town wears that setting well. Mornings start with temple bells and the sound of the river over stone, evenings bring oil lamps along the ghats during the nightly aarti, and the air carries incense, wet stone and pine.

This stretch of upper Tapovan is quieter than the ghats below, looking out over forested slopes and the river valley, in what is fairly called the yoga capital of the world. Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, the Beatles Ashram and Neer Garh Waterfall are all a short walk or drive away.

Travel Information

flight

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun, roughly 35 km from Rishikesh, with regular domestic connections to Delhi and a few other Indian cities.
International travellers typically fly into Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi, India, and then take a short connecting flight to Dehradun, or continue onward by road or by rail.
From Jolly Grant Airport, prepaid taxis and app based cabs run directly to Rishikesh and take about an hour depending on traffic. From Delhi, the drive to Rishikesh takes roughly five to six hours by road.

train

Haridwar Railway Station is the best connected major station in the region, with direct trains to Delhi, Mumbai and several other large Indian cities. Rishikesh has its own smaller station too, with more limited connections.
From Haridwar, taxis and shared autos cover the roughly 25 kilometre stretch to Rishikesh in about 45 minutes.
Booking train tickets in advance is recommended, especially during the peak travel seasons, since routes to Haridwar fill up quickly.

bus

Regular buses connect ISBT Kashmere Gate in Delhi to Rishikesh, with both government and private operators covering the route in around six to seven hours.
Buses from Dehradun and Haridwar run more frequently throughout the day and take under an hour and a half respectively.
Once in Rishikesh, local autos or taxis can take guests the rest of the way to their accommodation.

taxi

Prepaid taxi counters are available at Jolly Grant Airport, at Haridwar Railway Station and in Delhi, which makes it easy to book a direct ride without haggling over the fare.
The trip from Dehradun airport takes about an hour, from Haridwar around 45 minutes, and from Delhi roughly five to six hours.
App based cab services also operate in the region for shorter local trips once you have settled in.

car

From Delhi the drive covers roughly 240 km on NH334 and takes about five to six hours, depending on traffic through the hill sections closer to Rishikesh.
The route passes through Haridwar before climbing gently into the foothills, and self driving is straightforward on this stretch.
The final approach into upper Tapovan involves narrower hillside roads, so plan for a slightly slower pace at the end.

FAQ'S

Yes. The retreat starts with a personal consultation, so the therapies and the yoga sessions are pitched to your current fitness and experience level rather than a fixed intensity for everyone.

It is built around common issues such as hormonal imbalance, chronic stress, poor sleep and the mental fatigue that comes from balancing work and home, using the Ayurveda diagnosis to guide which therapies are used.

Yes. The plan is based on an individual Ayurveda consultation rather than a one size fits all schedule, so therapists can adapt sessions around known conditions or physical limitations.

Five nights is enough for stress reduction, better sleep and mental clarity to improve noticeably, though deeper physical concerns usually need a longer Panchakarma retreat for lasting results.

Generally yes. These are gentle, non invasive practices that suit most women, though anyone with specific health sensitivities should mention them during the initial consultation so sessions can be adjusted.

The currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). ATMs are available in central Rishikesh, though they are sparser up in Tapovan, so withdraw cash in town before heading up. Most local vendors prefer cash to cards.

The programme is built around adult wellness and treatment schedules, so it suits solo travellers, couples or friends best. Families considering a visit with children should check directly on age suitability, as treatment heavy schedules are not always a natural fit for younger guests.

Lightweight, breathable clothing works for most of the year, with a warm layer for the cooler months and evenings. Comfortable walking shoes help for the ghats and nearby trails, and modest clothing is recommended for temple visits.

Yes. Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, the Beatles Ashram and Neer Garh Waterfall are all within easy reach, along with rafting and trekking for guests who want a more active break between sessions.

No prior experience is necessary. Programmes are structured to take beginners as readily as those with more background, though it is worth confirming the pace of a specific retreat before booking if you have physical limitations.
